These eye-catching pictures portray British wildlife, ranging from chilly lambs on a snowy hillside to a boar sleeping off the effects of a day in the cider orchards. Even the zebra is British, as it’s a resident of a wildlife park in Somerset. The images, taken by photographer Richard Austin, feature in 2010’s cutest calendar. Richard Austin has been a professional news and sport photographer for 20 years working at the top end of the newspaper and magazine industry. His name is synonymous with quality and individualism combined with creativity and the ability to capture the pictures that get published.
These newborns won’t get lost in their bright-red jackets…
A pair of mute swans for Valentine’s Day…
This young lamb has a spring in his step…where?
Nothing gets past this wise -and alert -owl…and a pirate-like owl?
He’s out on his own for the first time but this gosling is in the pink…
This sleepy boar clearly has one oftoo many…
Watch out, or this playful swan will squirt you…
Chilling out during the long, hot summer…Guarghhhh…
It is a harvest time in the hedgerows for this cute mouse…
What do you mean, geese don’t hibernate?
Somerset is a bit nippier than the savannah…
This cheery fellow proves that winter’s here…
This tiny dormouse is as light as a feather…serene…
