3. Samgyupsal is a popular Korean dish that is commonly served as an evening meal. Consists of thick, fatty slices of pork belly meat. The meat is usually neither marinated nor seasoned, it is cooked on a grill at the diner’s table. The literal translation actually means three layers of fats. It is regularly dipped in sesame seed oil mixed with salt and pepper.
4. Ddeokbokki is a popular Korean snack food made from soft rice cake, fish cake and sweet red chili sauce. Ddeokbokki is the most popular Korean street food among foreigners. It can be brutally spicy based on what kind of gochujang they used.
5. Bulgogi is a Korean dish that usually consists of grilled marinated beef. Bulgogi is listed at number 23 on the World’s Most Delicious Foods readers’ poll organised by CNN in 2011.
